DEQ notice of Application for Dredging
We have received notice from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Water Resources Division (WRD) of a application for permit to perform dredging in front of an property on the North end of the lake. It appears the request is limited to the area in front of the lot and they are dredging to provide access for a boat hoist.
The public comment period is closing on May 23, 2017 and the details of the notice are below:

Jordan Notenbaum, 2157 Crystal Cove Drive, Allegan, MI 49010, has applied to this office for a permit under authority of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams; Part 303, Wetlands Protection, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (NREPA). The applicant proposes to install a turbidity curtain prior to in-water work. Dredge an area of wetland and Miner Lake bottomland in two areas; the first area of dredging will be approximately 40 feet long, 25 feet wide, to a maximum depth of 20 inches. The second area of dredging will be approximately 40 feet long, 10 feet wide, to a maximum depth of 20 inches. Total wetland impacts will be approximately 0.02 acres. Install approximately 9.25 cubic yards of sand fill in an area approximately 10 feet long, 25 feet wide, to a maximum depth of 1 foot. Install a boat hoist approximately 25 feet long and 10 feet wide. The project is located in T02N, R13W, Section 12, Allegan Township, Allegan County, Michigan, in accordance with plans attached to this notice.
