At the Allegan Township meeting on November 3rd, the board reviewed and discussed the advisory petition for sewer on Miner Lake and their decision was to not support the formation of a sewer district. The approximate percentages from the petition in favor of establishing a sewer district were 55% based on land mass, but only 45% based on parcels.

Three of the five board members stated that they personally believed sewer was needed or a good idea for Miner Lake, but based on the numbers from the petition they would vote against forming a sewer district.

The following article from the Allegan County News provides a good summary of the meeting.

Thank you to all members of the Miner Lake Association who took the time to engage in this process.
