This year we plan to celebrate the Independence Day holiday on July 5th with fireworks after dark (around 10 pm) and the revival of the Boat parade starting at 11 am (see separate post).

Tune your Radio to 105.1 FM to hear the music synced with the fireworks

Reminder: All watercraft must follow State of MI rules for nighttime navigation (pg 10). Last year there were reports of small boats and/or kayaks out on the lake without navigation or marker lights. Please don’t do this… and for those of us who know better, be aware of the increased possibility of unmarked vessels.

While the Miner Lake Property Owners Assn. does not sponsor fireworks, we do have several residents who choose to celebrate the holiday with a bit of a show!

One of the larger displays will move to the West side of the lake by the Boat Launch and be launched from rafts. We ask that residents remain clear of that area when the rafts are present and do not disturb the rafts or contents. This display is scheduled for July 5, 2024, around 10 to 10:30 pm and will include and soundtrack by loudspeaker and by local radio that can be heard on your boat radio on 105.1 FM.
