Public Hearing on East End as a Nature Preserve and Park

A public hearing will be held Dec. 7th at the Allegan Township Hall 7:30 pm to consider the option of Allegan Township purchasing the East End property. The project would be possible with help from a DNR Grant to preserve the land and make a nature park.

The project would require application and award of a DNR grant that would fund up to 75% of the cost of the project.

This hearing is to gauge interest in the project and determine if a grant application should be filed (April 2010 deadline).
