Thank you to those of you who attended our special township meeting on Tuesday evening. We appreciate your attendance and thoughtful questions.
The Allegan Township Board, in partnership with the Miner Lake Property Owners Association and our sewer task force, held a public meeting Tuesday, April 29th to pursue options for state funding. The Township Board passed a referendum (5-0 in favor) to pursue options for state and federal funding via an application for the State of Michigan CWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Fund). The application was received prior to the May 1 filing deadline for the 2026 program year.
The Board and meeting attendees heard presentations from the engineering firm submitting the application, Fleis & VandenBrink, and from The Great Lakes Community Action Partnership, who will provide more assistance and wastewater project expertise as we move forward.
Please continue to refer to this site for updates and plan to attend the bi-annual Miner Lake Property Owners Association meeting on Saturday, May 24th for a more sewer project updates.
