Results: Allegan Township Meeting 9/3/24

Several members of the association attended tonight’s Allegan Township meeting in support of the effort to advance a sewer system for Miner Lake (see slides from assn meeting).

The Township Board listened and agreed to partner with us by passing two separate resolutions (4-0).

Resolution #1
Called for a joint effort to sent out RFPs to at least 5 engineering firms that have been identified as having experience with the STEP or Liquid-Only Sewer systems.

Resolution #2
Called for a joint effort with the Township, their legal council and the Miner Lake Association to understand the options and requirements to form a Miner Lake Sewer District / Authority.

These efforts will move forward in parallel and include representatives from the Township and the Miner Lake Association. Several people have volunteered to assist, but if you’re interested please connect (or re-connect) with us to express your willingness to help!
