Allegan Township is changing its leaf pickup process for 2026. Residents will still have two scheduled pickups, but the dates are now assigned by street or road section.

In prior years, residents could contact the township to schedule up to two leaf pickups on dates of their choosing. This year, contractors will follow established routes on assigned dates instead of being dispatched by the Township Hall for individual requests.

Please check the dates for your street below and plan ahead. The township says this change will streamline the process and save time for contractors and office staff.

Pickup dates around Miner Lake

Miner Lake neighborhoods have several different pickup dates. Place your leaves by the road the night before each scheduled collection.

Koteras DriveOctober 30November 17
Lorraine Drive, Miner Lake Drive, Haas Drive, Harold Drive, and Lake DriveNovember 3November 19
Forrest Drive, Bayview, Mel Brown Road, and Crystal CoveNovember 5November 23

All dates are for 2026.

Don’t see your street? Several roads around the lake—including Horseshoe Cove, Stoney Point, 26th Street, and 120th, and 121st Avenues—are not listed in the township notice. The township asks residents on unlisted roads to call 269-673-5051to be added to the route.

How to prepare

  • Use the assigned dates for your street. The previous process of requesting individual pickup dates has been replaced by scheduled routes.
  • Place leaves by the road the night before pickup.
  • Call the township if your road is missing or your route is unclear: 269-673-5051.
  • Arrange additional pickups directly with the contractor. Any pickups beyond the two scheduled collections are the homeowner’s responsibility and cost a minimum of $70.
