Miner Lake, to celebrate the 250th of our nation, we were treated to another great show of professional-grade fireworks on the water.
We appreciated the additional assistance this year from the Allegan County Marine Division and the Allegan Township Fire Department, being onsite to help with safety.
I'm posting this soon after the show, but it from all accounts there were no reported incidents or issues on the water. It seemed like boats had the proper navigation lights and navigated their way home safely...
Thanks to everyone who maintained appropriate spacing and respected others by turning off all decorative lights above and below the rail (separate from required navigation lighting). Those things made for a great evening for all of us on the water!
One reminder as we celebrate together, we are all in close proximity and there are families and kids enjoying the show. Sound travels all too well on the water, so, even if your boat is all adults, it’s not appropriate or very respectful to be crude or use profanity in this setting. Thanks for helping to keep this a place where all can enjoy and celebrate!
Finally, none of this would be possible without the very generous donation of time, talent, and money from Keith Norman and help from his friends on the lake, the Huizingas. Keith enjoys doing these shows, but we can show our appreciation by sending a Venmo donation as "Thanks."
